Insurance
Liability Insurance: Boat owner will have in place boat/yacht coverage with appropriate hull limit liability coverage of not less than $300,000 including coverage for wreck removal and fuel spill/pollution liability and name Handy Boat Service, Inc. as additional insured under that policy. Boat owner agrees to provide a copy of such insurance upon request of Handy Boat.
Limitations of Marina’s Liability: Boat Owner acknowledges that he /she has inspected the mooring and satisfied him/herself that the mooring space is adequate for safe mooring of his/her vessel. This contract is not a bailment of the Boat Owner’s vessel, but a lease of a mooring. The Marina employees will make a reasonable effort to contact Boat Owner and notify of dangerous conditions requiring his/her attention, but the Marina assumes no responsibility for attending mooring lines, pennants or for moving vessels from the mooring or berth to which they are assigned. Boat owner agrees to pay any cost incurred and to hold Handy Boat harmless for any damage to vessel or other property caused by boat owner’s vessel. Boat Owner releases Handy Boat from all claims for loss, damages, or bodily injury that may occur on the water or otherwise on its premises.
Estimates
Estimates are good for 30 days from the date prepared. Work can not begin before the receipt of a deposit of 50% of the estimated job total. Estimates are ( + or - 15%) and does not include the cost of hidden or unforeseen issues that may be discovered in the course of the work. Final payment, including insurance related work, is due upon completion. Handy Boat reserves the right to charge for the time to prepare an estimate if the estimate was requested and the work is not authorized. Please contact us with any questions about an estimate.
